X-Axis Manual Linear Translation Stages

X-Axis Manual Linear Translation Stages

X-axis manual linear translation stages are designed to provide precise, high-resolution travel over a single linear degree of freedom. More importantly, however, they constrain any form of movement in the other 5 degrees of freedom: pitch, yaw, roll, as well as y-, or z-axis translation. They are frequently used in applications such as microscopy, metrology, optical fiber alignment, optical delay lines, interferometry, or wherever exact linear position is required.  Industries that utilize linear stages include research, bio-medical, life sciences, astronomy, metrology, semiconductor, and more. OptoSigma offers the largest selection of X-axis linear translation stages to meet virtually any application. For example, we have the most bearing options of any manufacturer, including  EXC™ precision bearing, ball bearing, crossed-roller bearing, linear bearing, and dovetail bearing. If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage. OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • EXC™ Precision-Bearing Steel Stages

    Description

Our single-axis EXC™ Precision-Bearing Steel Stages feature OptoSigma's patented EXC™ precision bearing ways, providing the highest performance stages in our lineup. These bearing ways are not separate parts, as with competing stages, but processed directly into the body and base of the stage resulting in the highest stiffness, straightness and smoothness of any stage on the market. This  bearing design means that there is nothing to come loose or un screwed, so it's impossible to lose your preload. OptoSigma's  bearing technology also gives our stages other advantages like high load capacity and lowest profile vs. any stage on the market. They remain unmatched in overall performance to this day. All EXC™ stages are made entirely from hardened tool steel and are plated with an RoHS-Compliant black chrome.   If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Aluminum Roller & Ball Bearing Stages

    Description

OptoSigma's single-axis ball bearing and crossed-roller bearing stages are the most widely used stages for research applications.  Ball bearing stages combine excellent low-friction, high-resolution positioning with a cost effective price whereas crossed roller stages have outstanding straightness of travel and higher load capacities.  They are available in the widest range of sizes of all our stages, from 25X25 mm up to the huge 300X300 mm sizes. As with all of our manual stage products, they have a modular design such that they can be combined with other like-sized stages to create additional configurations.  If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Dove Tail Stages

    Description

Our single axis dove-tail translation stages have exceptionally high load capacity and resistance to shock damage of any of our stages.  They are the best choice for set-and-forget applications.  Their simple design makes them the most cost effective translation stage in our lineup.  Made from solid brass, machined to exact tolerances, and finished in a beautiful RoHS-compliant black chrome, these stages are available in a multitude of sizes and travel ranges including our smallest at just 15X15mm.  As with all of our manual stage products, they have a modular design such that they can be combined with other like-sized stages to create additional configurations.  If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Extended Range Stages

    Description

Our Extended Range stages provide twice the travel range of the standard stage while still maintaining excellent precision and durability. They feature a variety of precision bearing ways, including crossed roller bearings, recirculating linear bearings, as well as EXC™ bearings, the world's first to be processed directly into the body of a translation stage resulting in the highest stiffness, straightness and smoothness of any stage on the market. If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Piezo-Assist Stages, X-Axis

    Description

Piezo-Assist Linear Stages are single-axis manual linear translation stages, equipped with piezo-assist adjustment. The mechanism is a lead zirconate titanate (PZT) crystal, which proportionally changes its static dimension when an external electric field is applied to it. The piezo adjustment is designed to be used in conjunction with the micrometer to extend the stage resolution from 10μm down to <20nm.  Piezo-assist stages are frequently used in applications such as microscopy, metrology, optical fiber alignment, interferometry, or wherever submicron linear positioning is required.  Industries that utilize linear stages include research, bio-medical, life sciences, astronomy, metrology, semiconductor, and more.  Piezo-Assist Linear Stages are available in 25, 40, and 60-millimeter platform sizes and are specifically designed to be stacked with other linear and rotation stages having the same size and mounting threads. Controllers are available in 1 axis and 3-axis versions.  If one of our many catalog piezo-assist stages does not meet your requirements, just send us a request for a custom version.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.
