Optical Cages

Optical Cages
• Optical cage systems provide a rigid and modular framework for building multi component optical assemblies along a common axis.
• OptoSigma offers three standard formats: 16 mm, 30 mm, and 60 mm pitch designed around industry compatible 4 mm and 6 mm support rods.
• Components can be inserted or removed in place using a 3 rod configuration, then secured with a fourth rod for increased rigidity.
• Cage plates and holders can be oriented freely or folded at 90° to enable compact, three dimensional optical setups.
System compatibility: Supports integration with lens tubes, post mounts, and standard optical benches.

Optical Cage System Guide

What is a Optical cage system?

Optical cage system is different from normal optical system, which build on optical experiment table. (Its reference is optical experiment table.)

what is

The cage system is build on four rods.(Its reference is optical axis.)

How to fix side-in type holder plate?
how to fix
  1. Rotate the holder plate using the rod as a fulcrum. (An arrow on the holder plate indicates the fulcrum).
  2. Make sure that the two rods fit into the end of the slot on the holder plate.
By tightening the set screws, the holder plate is fixed to the rod (cage).
  3. By attaching the fourth rod, it will be able to slide the holder plate along the rod without coming off.
