Mini-Bracket and Connecting Cube
A mini-rail bracket is offered for vertical or angled mounting of mini-rails and a connector cube is used for combining rails.
Mini-Rails & Carriers
These are blackened aluminum dovetail rails of 19mm width and various lengths. The height of the rail surface above the base is 10mm. Mini-rails can be mounted onto the mini-baseplates provided special washers are used to accommodate the smaller screw size. They can also be mounted directly onto a standard 1/4-20 or M6 hole pattern.
Along the length of the mini-rail there are a series of interspersed counterbored clearance holes and slots on one inch centers which will accept a 1/4-20 or M6 cap screw. By this means the mini-rails can be bolted to a conventional optical mounting system. By using the washers which we supply, M2 screws can be used to bolt the mini-rails to the mini-baseplates. A minirail bracket is also offered for vertical or angled mounting of mini-rails and a cube for combining rails.
Mini-carriers are manufactured from an aluminum extrusion. They have a lip which latches over the mini-rails and a screw clamp on the opposite side. When mounted they have a flat surface which is parallel to the base and 5mm above the top of the mini-rail (15mm above the base). Two lengths are offered, 14mm and 25mm. The short version is convenient for close mounting of components, whereas

When it is required to provide linear adjustment of the spacing of optical components over a wide range, the best way is to use a rail. The rails we offer have an extremely low profile so they do not cause excessive height build up. These rails are in the form of a dovetail. They are used with mating carriers which may be inserted at various points along the rail without interfering with adjacent carriers. Two widths of rail are offered, 50mm and 100mm. A series of slots along the centerline of the rail facilitates attachment to an optical table or breadboard. Both inch and metric hole spacings can be accommodated by the slots.
Alternatively the rails may be clamped using ledges along the sides. Each size of rail has its own series of carriers. These are attached by releasing the clamp screw and hooking the lip over the dovetail section on the rail. The clamp may then be loosely tightened to permit sliding or fully tightened to lock the carrier in place. On the upper surface of the carriers is a standard inch or metric mounting hole pattern which may be used to attach stages, post holders or other mounting devices. The surface is parallel to the base when in use.
Rail Accessories
Optical Carriers Rail Feet are offered in both a single foot and dual feet configuration. They allow the user to some height adjustment for horizontal level adjustment of your rail and carrier assembly.
