  • Manual Stages & Actuators

    Description

Manual stages are designed to provide precise, high-resolution travel over any combination of the six linear degrees of freedom. More importantly, however, they constrain any form of unwanted movement in the other angular or linear degrees of freedom: pitch, yaw, roll, as well as x-, y-, or z-axis translation.  The offering includes linear stages, rotation stages, goniometers, labjacks and manual actuators like micrometers. These products are frequently used in applications such as microscopy, metrology, optical fiber alignment, optical delay lines, interferometry, or wherever exact positioning is required.  Industries that utilize translation stages include research, bio-medical, life sciences, astronomy, metrology, semiconductor, and more.  OptoSigma offers the largest selection of translation stages to meet virtually any application.  For example,  we have the most bearing options of any manufacturer, including  EXC™ precision bearing, ball bearing, crossed-roller bearing, linear bearing, and dovetail bearing.  Additionally, they are available in materials ranging from brass, aluminum, tool steel and stainless steel. If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Motorized Stage Systems

    Description

Motorized translation stages allow for precision automated motion across all six linear as well as angular degrees of freedom.  The offering includes linear translation stages, rotation stages, goniometric stages as well as motorized actuators, the majority of which are powered by 5-phase stepper motors.  Single- to multi-axis motor controllers are provided for the various types of actuation: AC servo, ultrasonic, piezomotor, piezo stack and, of course, the stepper motors.  Our motorizes stages are also available as closed loop versions having optical scales to provide the position feedback.  These products are frequently used in applications such as microscopy, metrology,  optical delay lines, interferometry, or wherever exact automated positioning is required.  Industries that utilize translation stages include research, bio-medical, life sciences, astronomy, metrology, semiconductor, and more.  OptoSigma offers the largest selection of motorized translation stages to meet virtually any application.  If one of our many catalog stages does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom stage.  OptoSigma is, after all, the industry leader in translation stages.

  • Optical Tables & Breadboards

    Description

Optical Table and Breadboard products are designed to provide a large, vibration isolated and damped work surface from which to conduct optical experiments.  An optical table consists of two main items: a support and an optical tabletop or breadboard.  The support can be in the form of a frame with casters or as four individual cylindrical legs.  The supports can be either elastomeric (rigid) with nominal vibration isolation or pneumatic, which provides the best isolation from floor vibrations.  The tabletop has a matrix of 1/4-20 or M6 threaded holes on the surface and is constructed with a steel honeycomb structure to make it stiff, but with minimal mass. The vibration control provided by optical tables is frequently used in applications such as microscopy, metrology, optical fiber alignment, interferometry, or wherever optical experiments are done.  Optical tables can be found in just about any laser lab but also support bio-medical, life sciences, astronomy, metrology, and semiconductor industries.  OptoSigma offers a wide selection of optical table sizes from stock, desk-type workstations and desktop isolators, and shelf accessories.   If one of our many catalog tables does not meet your requirements, send us a request for a custom table.
