Pitch-, Yaw-, and Z-axis Electronic Laser Autocollimator

This triangulating laser autocollimator system offers both angular and linear displacement measurement capabilities, using non-contact, sub-arcsecond precision. It is optimized for surfaces with at least 80% specular reflectivity at a 660nm wavelength, a requirement easily met by most standard flat optical mirrors, which typically exceed 90% reflectivity. In a typical application, the mirror is mounted directly to the object being measured. The autocollimator head includes an integrated electronic processing unit, simplifying setup by minimizing cable connections. Operation requires a user-supplied computer.
Common applications include calibrating goniometers, aligning optical components in laser systems, verifying the straightness or squareness of mechanical assemblies, and measuring small angular displacements in vibration or deformation testing. Their non-contact nature makes them ideal for delicate or high-precision setups.
