FMB Kinematic Flip Bases can be flipped just over 90 degrees to allow a mirror mount to be removed from a beam path. Because FMBs have a kinematic mechanism, they can be flipped back into position without losing alignment (within a few arc seconds). They are designed to be mounted to PED-series pedestal posts or standard RO-series 12.7mm posts.

Attention ◦To ensure laser safety, please configure the flip base to move the mirror so the reflection points downwards rather than upwards.
Remark ◦For best repeatability, slowly rotate the base on and off the kinematic points during the flip process.
Guide ◦Please use the handle to move the flip base rather than touching the mount (e.g. mirror mount) on top of the base.
